The Ilyushin IL-2 is the best known ground attack aircraft of WWII. During WWII over 36.000 planes were built, which makes it one of the most produced military aircraft. Due to it´s heavy armor, it was difficult to shoot down – the troops called it “Flying Tank”. The double-seater was introduced in 1943, also known under the name IL-2M. Kit consists of 334 parts.
