Description
Description
The Handley Page Hereford was a British twin-engine medium bomber developed in the late 1930s as a variant of the Handley Page Hampden.
It was powered by Napier Dagger engines, distinguishing it from the Hampden, which used Bristol Pegasus engines.
The Hereford featured the same distinctive slender fuselage and crew layout as the Hampden, accommodating a crew of four and carrying a bomb load of up to 4,000 pounds.
However, its Napier Dagger engines were prone to overheating and mechanical issues, which limited the aircraft's operational effectiveness.
Due to these reliability problems, the Hereford was produced in limited numbers and primarily used for training and secondary roles.
Its performance and legacy were overshadowed by the more successful Hampden.
Additional items are required to complete kit as illustrated. i.e. plastic adhesive, paint, paint brushes, brush cleaner and general modelling tools
