Supermarine Spitfire LF Mk.XVIe RAF — AZ Model 1/72 Plastic model Kit Vintage

AZ Model is a Czech specialist producer noted for limited-run and unusual aircraft kits. This 1/72 Spitfire LF Mk.XVIe kit provides moulded plastic components, clear parts, decals and instructions for the low-altitude fighter variant, with its four-blade propeller and clipped/modified wing configuration. The Mk.XVI was essentially a Merlin-powered Spitfire Mk.IX airframe fitted with the American Packard-built Merlin engine; late aircraft featured the low-back fuselage and bubble canopy and were used extensively as low-level fighters and fighter-bombers during the final months of WWII. This older AZ Model boxing is becoming harder to find in good original packaging.
