Shavrov Sh-2 Amphibian — Amodel 1/72 Plastic Model Kit Vintage

Amodel is a Ukrainian specialist manufacturer noted for short-run injection-moulded kits of unusual Soviet and historical aircraft. Kit 7216 contains injection-moulded plastic parts, clear glazing, decals and instructions for the distinctive wooden sesquiplane amphibian, including its hull, wings, engine installation, cockpit and retractable wheeled undercarriage. The full-size Shavrov Sh-2 was designed in the early 1930s for training, patrol, fishery protection and ambulance duties. More than 700 were built from 1934 and the type remained in Soviet service remarkably late, with some aircraft operating into the 1960s. This is an unusual and collectible Soviet aviation subject.
