Ross 60 10cc Glow Engine - Second Hand
The Ross 60 Twin is a rare, vintage 10cc horizontally opposed two-cylinder glow engine designed by Louis (Lou) Ross in the early 1970s.
Designer: Created by Lou Ross, an American model engine craftsman known for unique, high-end collector pieces.
Displacement: 10cc (0.60 cubic inches, or a .60-size twin).
Configuration: Horizontally opposed flat-twin, two-stroke glow engine.
Status: Highly prized by vintage radio-control (RC) engine collectors today due to very low production numbers rather than practical everyday flight use.
Ignition: Glow ignition (typically run on methanol with castor oil lubrication; often used idle-bar glow plugs).
Induction: Rear-mounted carburetor/reed valve system (many production versions featured precision carburetors made in West Germany).
Performance: Generally spins around 10,800 RPM on an 11x5 propeller setup. [
