The famous Hawker Hunter is certainly one of the most elegant jet fighter aircraft produced in the UK after the war. He was commissioned in large numbers as an interceptor with the Royal Air Force from 1954. Almost 2,000 hunters were built in total and were in service with 18 different air forces. Later, the Hunter was modernized and received a new role as a fighter-bomber/earth fighter aircraft at the RAF (FGA.9). The Swiss Air Force received the first Hunter (MK. 58) in the spring of 1959, it was then also built under license at the aircraft factories in Emmen. As a fighter bomber, the Hunter was used in 15 aircraft squadrons and received extensive modifications. The superbly detailed kit contains extensive external loads for the RAF version, as well as a complete splash with equipment parts and armament for the Swiss version.
