The M8 Armored Gun System is an American prototype light tank from the Cold War and modern times. The first, ready-made prototypes of this vehicle were built in 1994, but the vehicle never entered mass production. The drive was provided by a single engine Detroit Diesel DDC 6V 92TIA with a power of up to 580 HP, which allowed the car to accelerate to 72 km / h on the road. The armament consisted of the 105mm Rheinmetall M35 cannon and two 7.62mm and 12.7mm machine guns.
