Novo Bristol 138A Research Plane 1/72 F165 / 76054 Plastic Model Kit Vintage

Novo was the Soviet-era export brand that inherited numerous Frog moulds after Frog's tooling was transferred to the USSR. This vintage 1/72 Bristol 138A kit is an ex-Frog Trail Blazers subject and contains approximately 43 injection-moulded parts, including the fuselage, wings, undercarriage, engine, cockpit and pilot, with clear parts, decals and instructions. The full-size Bristol 138A was a British high-altitude research aircraft used to investigate extreme-altitude flight and oxygen equipment. It set a British altitude record of 16,440 metres in 1937. The Novo boxing is particularly interesting to collectors because the original Frog mould was first produced in 1964 and the tooling was subsequently transferred to the Soviet Union; the Novo export version is now difficult to find in good original packaging.
