Nieuport IV — Amodel 1/72 Plastic Model Kit Vintage

Amodel is one of the few injection-moulded manufacturers to have covered very early pre-WWI aviation in 1/72. Kit 7266 contains three sprues, decals and instructions, representing the Nieuport IV with its streamlined monoplane fuselage, rotary engine, cockpit and distinctive early undercarriage. The full-size Nieuport IV was introduced in 1911 as a racing and sporting aircraft and achieved notable competition success, including the 1911 Gordon Bennett Trophy victory. Military versions were subsequently purchased by France, Russia, Italy and Sweden, making it an important transitional aircraft between pioneering aviation and military aircraft of WWI. This is a particularly collectible early-aviation kit.
