Meng Model 1/48 F-4E Phantom II # LS-017
The F-4E Phantom II is a two-seat, twin-engine fighter jet that was designed and manufactured by the American company McDonnell Douglas (now part of Boeing) in the 1950s.
It was originally designed as a fleet defense fighter for the US Navy and was later adopted by the US Air Force and many other countries around the world.
The F-4E was a versatile aircraft that could perform a variety of roles, including air-to-air combat, ground attack, and reconnaissance.
It was powered by two General Electric J79 turbojet engines, which gave it a top speed of over Mach 2.2 (more than twice the speed of sound).
The F-4E was also equipped with advanced avionics and weapons systems, including radar-guided missiles and a Vulcan cannon.
The F-4E Phantom II saw extensive use during the Vietnam War and was also used by many other countries in conflicts around the world.
Today, some countries still use the F-4E in their air forces, although most have been retired from active service.
