Matchbox Douglas A-20G Havoc / Boston IV 1/72 Plastic model Kit Vintage

Vintage Matchbox injection-moulded plastic kit of the Douglas A-20G Havoc/Boston IV, 1/72 scale. The original PK-120 tooling dates from 1977 and contains approximately 72 parts in three colours, including 9 transparent parts, with components for the twin-engined fuselage, wings, engines, propellers, cockpit, undercarriage, turret and glazing, plus decals for two aircraft options. The kit can represent the solid-nose A-20G and the glazed-nose Boston IV/J variant, although the historical designations on the box are somewhat simplified. The Douglas A-20 Havoc was an American twin-engined attack aircraft and light/medium bomber developed by Douglas, first flown in 1938. It served extensively with the USAAF, RAF and Allied air forces in Europe, North Africa and the Pacific, with more than 7,000 examples of the A-20 family produced. The A-20G was the most numerous variant and featured a heavily armed solid nose. Current recommended selling price assumes complete contents and good original packaging.
