Description
Description
Amodel is particularly valued for unusual Soviet experimental aircraft, and 7265 depicts the pioneering KASKR-1 autogiro. The kit contains short-run plastic components, rotor, propeller, fuselage, cockpit, undercarriage, tail surfaces, decals and instructions. The KASKR-1 was developed by Nikolai Kamov and Nikolai Skrzhinski in the 1920s and became one of the earliest successful Soviet rotary-wing experiments. Unlike a helicopter, its rotor was unpowered in forward flight while a conventional propeller provided thrust. The aircraft is an important step in the development of the Soviet autogiro and later Kamov rotary-wing designs.
