Italaerei Junkers Ju 86 E1/E2 German Bomber 1/72 Plastic model Kit Vintage

Italaerei, the original name used by the Italian manufacturer that later became Italeri, produced a large range of 1/72 aircraft kits from the 1970s onward. This vintage No. 120 kit is the Junkers Ju 86 E1/E2 in 1/72 scale and contains approximately 118 injection-moulded plastic parts, including the fuselage, wings, twin engines and nacelles, cockpit/crew positions, bomb and defensive armament, undercarriage, propellers and clear components, together with assembly instructions and decals. The original tooling dates from 1980. The Ju 86 began as a German civil transport and was adapted into a medium bomber for the Luftwaffe. The E-series used Junkers Jumo 205 diesel engines and saw combat with the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War and subsequently in the early Second World War. The aircraft was rapidly outclassed as a bomber but continued in reconnaissance and other roles, while specialised Ju 86 variants served at high altitude. Current specialist and auction examples place the older No. 120 comfortably in the £20–£30 range.
