Grumman Martlet V Royal Navy — Revell 1/32 Plastic model Kit Vintage

Revell's 1/32 aircraft range of the 1970s included a number of large, historically important kits, and the H-269 Royal Navy Martlet V is one of the more unusual subjects. The kit contains injection-moulded plastic components for the fuselage, wings, detailed cockpit, engine and cowling, propeller, undercarriage, armament, clear canopy, decals and instructions. It was issued around 1973-74 and represents the British Martlet V, the Royal Navy designation for the Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat variant. The full-size Wildcat was a rugged U.S. Navy carrier fighter that entered service in 1940; British Martlets were heavily used by the Fleet Air Arm from carriers and escort carriers in the Atlantic and Mediterranean, providing fighter protection and anti-shipping capability. This H-269 1/32 boxing is now a sought-after vintage Revell kit and is especially collectible in good original packaging.
