FROG Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Mk.V/Mk.VII Bomber 1/72 F207

Vintage FROG 1/72 plastic model kit of the Armstrong Whitworth Whitley, an important early RAF bomber of the Second World War. The kit offers the Mk.V night-bomber and Mk.VII maritime-patrol versions, with alternative markings. Its components reproduce the distinctive high-mounted wing, twin engines, defensive turrets and retractable undercarriage. The Whitley entered RAF service in 1937 and undertook early bombing raids before being increasingly replaced by newer heavy bombers. The Mk.VII served with RAF Coastal Command, using airborne radar for anti-submarine patrols. The FROG F207 tooling first appeared in 1970.
