Description
Description
Very early Eduard 1/72 short-run kit of the Sopwith Schneider floatplane racer. The Schneider was a float-equipped development of the Sopwith Tabloid, famous for winning the 1914 Schneider Trophy race at Monaco with Howard Pixton. The aircraft was a lightweight single-seat biplane with twin floats and a rotary engine, and its success helped establish Sopwith's reputation for fast, efficient aircraft. Eduard confirms that the Sopwith Schneider was one of its first two plastic kits, released in 1993, making this original-style boxing particularly significant in the company's history.
