Dornier Do 17 Z-2 — Revell 1/72 Plastic model Kit Vintage

Revell's vintage H-series aircraft kits are highly collectible because many used original mid-century tooling and period box artwork. H-247 is the 1/72 Dornier Do 17 Z-2, an ex-FROG moulding released by Revell in 1977. The kit contains approximately 68 plastic parts including the slim fuselage, twin engines and nacelles, propellers, cockpit and crew positions, defensive armament, landing gear, clear parts, decals and instructions; the box provides Luftwaffe and Finnish Air Force marking options. The full-size Do 17 was developed from an unsuccessful civil transport design and became the Luftwaffe's distinctive 'Flying Pencil' bomber. The Z-series was extensively used during the 1940 campaign and Battle of Britain, with the Z-2 carrying bombs and defensive guns. This is an historically interesting vintage kit and a particularly good example of Revell's ex-FROG era.
