DFS Kranich II — AZ Model 1/72 Plastic model Kit Vintage

AZ Model's Czech short-run production is particularly strong in unusual gliders and early aircraft. This 1/72 DFS Kranich II is a short-run injection-moulded kit with plastic components, clear canopy, decals and instructions; the characteristic two-seat fuselage, gull-like kinked wings and glider cockpit are reproduced. The DFS Kranich was designed by Hans Jacobs for the Deutsche Forschungsanstalt für Segelflug and first flew in 1935. The Kranich II became one of Germany's most important two-seat training gliders, was also used for Luftwaffe pilot training, and became famous for high-altitude and distance records, including Erich Klöckner's wartime climb to over 11,000 m. The kit is an uncommon specialist subject.
