de Havilland DH-82A/C Tiger Moth — Matchbox 1/32 Plastic model Kit Vintage model started

Matchbox's larger green-box range included several substantial 1/32 aircraft kits, with PK-505 introduced in 1979. This is the 1/32 DH-82A/C Tiger Moth, moulded in Matchbox's characteristic three-colour plastic and including a detailed Gipsy Major engine, removable cowling, cockpit interiors, wheels, skis and floats, alternative canopy/cockpit components, three crew/ground figures, clear parts, decals and instructions. The kit can build a standard RAF DH-82A, the Canadian winterised DH-82C on skis, or a float-equipped Tiger Moth. The full-size Tiger Moth first flew in 1931 and became one of the world's most important primary trainers, preparing thousands of RAF and Commonwealth pilots during WWII; many remained in civilian service after the war. This is a particularly desirable large-scale vintage Matchbox kit, and its unusual multiple configurations increase collector interest.
