Brengun Blohm & Voss BV-40 German Glider Fighter 1/72 Plastic model Kit Vintage

Brengun is a Czech specialist model manufacturer whose range includes many rare prototypes and Luftwaffe projects. The BRP72011 is a 1/72 injection-moulded plastic kit supplemented by photo-etched parts and a clear component, with decals for two prototype aircraft. The kit represents the compact Blohm & Voss BV-40 interceptor glider, including the fuselage, wings, protected cockpit, landing/skid equipment and associated small components. The real BV-40 was a German Second World War unpowered interceptor designed to attack Allied bomber formations. It was intended to be towed to altitude, released near a bomber formation and use its very small frontal area and high-speed dive to make attacks before gliding back to earth. Several prototypes were built and tested in 1944, but the project never entered operational service. Particularly attractive as a specialist Luftwaffe prototype subject.
