Description
Description
Brengun, based in the Czech Republic, specialises in injection-moulded and multimedia kits of unusual aircraft and military subjects. This BRP72001 1/72 Bachem Ba-349A Natter contains injection-moulded plastic components for the wooden fuselage, wings, cockpit, rocket installation, tail and launch equipment, together with the kit's instructions and decals. The Natter was a German experimental rocket-powered vertical-launch interceptor developed during the final months of the Second World War. It was designed to attack Allied heavy bomber formations using a battery of unguided rockets, after which the pilot and propulsion system were intended to separate from the airframe by parachute. Only one manned vertical test flight was made, on 1 March 1945; test pilot Lothar Sieber was killed when the aircraft crashed shortly after launch. The unusual disposable-aircraft concept makes this a popular specialist 1/72 subject.
