The Bell 206 Jet Ranger is one of the most iconic and recognizable helicopter designs of all time. First developed and flown in the 1960's, the design proved to be so capable and adaptable that more than 7,000 were produced in various versions over more than 5 decades – for everything from corporate transport to news reporting, and air ambulance to military use. And for almost a decade, more people learned to fly CP (Collective Pitch) RC helicopters with multiple versions of the Blade 230 S than any other model. The Bell 206 Jet Ranger 235 CP is an updated and upgraded version of the proven 230 and scale variant of the now popular Revolution 235, factory-finished with a Jet Ranger body and equipped with features that make it even easier to fly than ever before. It features exclusive and innovative SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology, which offers angle limits and improved self-leveling to help prevent crashes in Normal mode, and no limits in all other flight modes – plus Panic Recovery to "bail out" at the push of a button if you ever need it!
Best of all, the Bell 206 Jet Ranger 235 CP arrives 100% factory-assembled, flight-tested, and ready to fly right out of the box-no assembly or setup required. The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) Basic version includes everything needed to fly in one box except for a battery and charger, so it's a perfect choice for first-time to experienced pilots looking for maximum convenience and value. It allows you to choose a convenient and money-saving Spektrum Powerstage bundle or the separate battery and charger you prefer. Plus, the included Spektrum DXS 2.4GHz transmitter can be used with other Bind-N-Fly® (BNF) and BNF Basic aircraft after you learn to fly the Jet Ranger 235 CP successfully! A Bind-N-Fly (BNF) Basic version is also available for pilots who want to use their current Spektrum transmitter along with Smart or non-Smart batteries and chargers they may already own. And both versions include a Spektrum flybarless flight controller and receiver loaded with a Smart Transmitter File that allows you to import all settings for NX and iX series transmitters automatically during the binding process to make it easier and faster to get flying with your favorite or upgraded transmitter.

Smart Transmitter File
This aircraft is equipped with a receiver that is loaded with a Smart Transmitter File (STF) that makes programming your favorite or upgrade Spektrum computer transmitter as easy as a few clicks of a button. When you bind your transmitter to an STF-equipped aircraft, all programming parameters download automatically from the receiver. Switch assignments, rates, expo, telemetry, and voice callouts configure themselves. No lengthy step-by-step instructions. No continual adjustments. Just push-button convenience that gets you flying faster.
Telemetry Capable
The Bell 206 Jet Ranger 235 CP is equipped with a Spektrum Smart ESC, flight controller, and a receiver that provides – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – real-time overall flight battery voltage, motor RPM, and other telemetry information to compatible Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters (including the DXS, DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, the iX12 to 20, and others) while you fly. This also includes approximate flight battery power remaining via multiple LEDs and audible alerts from the DXS transmitter included with the RTF Basic version.
Learn to Fly Successfully with SAFE® Technology
If this is your first RC helicopter, Horizon Hobby-exclusive SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology prevents over-control and crashes while also offering multiple flight modes to deliver more control and capabilities as your skills progress.
Normal (SAFE) Mode
In this flight mode, the helicopter has pitch and bank angle limits to prevent over-control that can result in a loss of orientation and crashes. When the control sticks are released, the helicopter automatically returns to level flight on its own allowing you to relax and enjoy just 'steering' the helicopter through the sky rather than focusing on keeping it level. This flight mode also makes it much easier to take off and land!
Stunt/Idle Up 1 (AS3X) Mode
There are no pitch or bank angle limits in this flight mode so you have complete control! The head speed is higher and more constant than in the Normal mode which allows you to fly inverted (upside down) and perform basic aerobatic maneuvers including loops, rolls and more.
Stunt/Idle Up 2 (AS3X) Mode
In this flight mode there are no limits and the head speed is even higher so you can perform more aggressive aerobatic maneuvers.
Panic Recovery
If you lose control of the helicopter in the Stunt/Idle Up flight modes, simply press and hold the Panic Recovery button or switch to Normal mode and release the right-hand control stick. SAFE technology will automatically return the helicopter to upright and level flight!
Collective Pitch
The CP (Collective Pitch) main rotor mechanics offer smooth control to deliver a unique blend of hovering, scale, and aerobatic flying capabilities you can't get with FP (Fixed Pitch) mechanics.
Scale Authenticity
The powerful and efficient brushless main motor features a two-stage gear reduction to fit fully within the body while rotating the main rotor blades in the scale (counter-clockwise) direction. The brushless tail motor is mounted on the left side and spins the tail rotor in the scale (clockwise) direction. Both motors are connected to a factory-installed Spektrum Dual Smart ESC and are compatible with popular and affordable 3S 850mAh Smart and similar non-Smart LiPo batteries with IC2 connectors (or use a compatible IC2 adapter).
