Avro 504K Zeppelin Killer — Amodel 1/72 Plastic Model Kit Vintage damaged box

Amodel's early-aircraft range includes several specialised WWI subjects. Kit 7268 represents the single-seat Avro 504K 'Zeppelin Killer' and includes plastic fuselage, wings, cockpit, engine and cowling, undercarriage, armament/detail parts, clear components, decals and instructions. The Avro 504 first flew in 1913 and became one of Britain's most important early military aircraft. The 504K served in numerous training and operational roles; the single-seat 'Comic' or night-fighter versions were adapted for home defence against German Zeppelin raids, carrying upward-firing guns. The Amodel kit is an especially interesting representation of this less-common 504 configuration.
