Description
Description
1/72 Admiral kit of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.22, the late-war Griffon-powered fighter with enlarged wings and tail surfaces and a distinctive cut-back rear fuselage with teardrop canopy. The Mk.22 entered RAF service in 1945 and was the first Spitfire variant to use a 24-volt electrical system. It was used by RAF and Royal Auxiliary Air Force squadrons in the post-war period, with 287 aircraft produced. This Admiral release is a short-run injection-moulded kit from the early 2010s.
