Hasegawa 1:72 X-29 (US Advanced Technology Demonstrator) Kit HAB13
The Grumman X-29 is an American single-engine experimental plane with negative slant canard wings and duralumin structure with composite and titanium elements. The first aircraft of this type took to the air in 1984, and the second in 1989. The X-29 was a platform for carrying out numerous experiments, including the usefulness of fly by wire control, the validity of the use of composites in aviation structures and flight instability tests. The project was managed by three organizations: DARPA, USAF and NASA. At the factory, the General Electric F404 turbofan engine was used as the drive. Technical data: length: 14.7 m, wingspan: 8.8 m, height: 4.3 m, maximum speed: 1930 km / h, practical ceiling: 16 800 m, maximum range: 560 km.
