The Twister Quattro-X is a high performance, GPS equipped quadcopter that is capable of carrying a GoPro or similar sports camera * and has many exciting features that makes it the perfect introduction to multi-rotor flying. However, with one flick of a switch, you’re out of a stable mode and now have a performance that will excite the experienced flyer. With any quadcopter, the control software is critical to the model’s performance. Drawing on Twister’s wealth of experience and success in this area, the Quattro-X has unique control software - developed specifically for this quadcopter – to ensure you enjoy the best flying experience.

Designed from the outset to be quick and easy in the air, the Quattro-X needs little more than the undercarriage and props fitting before you’re ready to initialise the sophisticated GPS (Global Positioning System) and take to the air. Every model is factory test-flown before you receive it so there’s no guesswork… success is virtually guaranteed!

If you’ve never flown before, the Quattro-X has a stable auto-pilot and six gyro to ensure that you’re always in control. Many different flight modes are easily selected during operation, such as Altitude Hold, Orientation Mode – orientation – and a Return to Home function to safely land the Quattro-X. With high intensity LED’s aiding orientation and reporting back information to the pilot, the Quattro-X is a completely new flying experience.

A low voltage protection alarm to warn you that the flight batter needs charging and an automatic Safe Landingfeature is also included.

If you don’t already own a GoPro, there’s an optional camera available that shoots 1280x720px video at 60fps. You control the camera’s angle using one of the transmitter’s Auxiliary controls and capture your flying footage to the included mini SD card.

6-Channel 2.4GHZ Transmitter. Very smooth gimbals. 5th and 6th gimbal. Switches that make seamless changes between flight modes.

Flight Modes

Flight modes are all governed by switches on the transmitter and can be changed while flying.

Take off mode – used for general flying and great for beginners.

Altitude hold mode – holds to one altitude. Can be a fantastic assistant while filming.

GPS mode – Has great holding features. You can make the quadcopter stay perfectly still in one position.

Return home mode – Flick a switch and it will return to the first point of take off all by itself.

Orientation mode – No matter which way you are facing, if you press the elevator stick in a direction the quadcopter will fly that way, even while rotating.

Safety/Fail Safe Systems

To save your Quattro-X from being involved in an unfortunate accident, such as crashing to ground if it went out of range or running out of battery, the software has several fail safe systems factory installed.

If the Quattro-X fly’s out of transmitter range it will return home by itself.

If it experiences some sort of interference it will return home by itself.

When the flight battery runs low (about 20% of your flight time remaining), the LED’s will start flashing and the quadopter starts emitting a high pitch sound. This increases in frequency as the battery gets lower.

When the battery gets dangerously low, the quadcopter will land safely where it is hovering by itself instead of crashing.
