Description
The Sd.Kfz.251 German halftrack family was widely employed throughout WWII. One of the more potent family members was the Sd.Kfz.251/22, which boasted a 7.5cm PaK40 cannon mounted in the rear. Production kicked off in December 1944 in answer to a call from Hitler for as many antitank guns as possible to be installed on mobile platforms. These Sd.Kfz.251/22s were issued to panzer divisions, although the actual number produced remains unclear.
