Description
The tank received the nicknames Tiger II and Königstiger. From July 1944 Henschel turrets were installed and from October 1944 the application of the Zimmerit coating was stopped. Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf.B tanks served in heavy tank battalions until the end of the war. The Germans produced 479 Königstigers during 1944 to 1945.
