Moskvitch-401-420 Saloon Soviet Passenger Car

The passenger car Moskvitch-400 was in production at the Moscow Plant of Small Cars (ZMA) from December 1946 onwards. It was an exact copy of the pre-war 4-door Opel Kadett K38 variant. It was replaced by an improved Moskvitch-401 model with increased engine power from 1954. Moskvitch cars were produced in different types. Moskvitch-401-420 cars with 4-door closed saloon bodies were the most numerous. In total 216006 saloons were produced from 1946 until 1956.
