Description
Description
The F-4EJ Kai is an Air Self-Defense Force fighter developed from the F-4EJ Phantom II.
It was decided to adopt the F-4EJ as a successor to the F-86F in 1961, and deployment began in 1961.As more than 20 years have passed since its introduction, the F-4EJ was adopted in 1972 in order to extend the life of the aircraft and improve its capabilities. We have been conducting research and development since.
As a result, in February 1981, a modification plan was announced as the F-4EJ Kai. This modification mainly involves improving combat capabilities and adopting the ASIP inspection method, which is a measure to extend the lifespan of the aircraft.
