What can I build with this kit?

This versatile kit has everything you could want for a massive range of projects, experiments and model applications. Build to power anything from a robot to model cars or big wheels as well as showing the principles of mechanics. Comes with a 1.5-3V small multi ratio gearbox (also available separately Order Code WC65V) that can produce six different ratios for a wide range of motor speeds of up to 11,500rpm and torque of up to 10.92gf.cm. The kit also comes with a wide range of gears, shafts, and robotic wheels as well as a rack, coupling and chain. the Geared motor kit is compatible with most 917 series components (check individual specifications). You can even use this versatile kit to expand and design robotic projects with your Arduino or Raspberry Pi boards (not included).

Do I need a power supply?

The motor gearbox operates from a 1.5-3V power supply and comes with a 1.5 D battery and holder. The kit also comes with nut, bolts, washers and double sided tape to secure your project as well as a miniature screwdriver to put it together. No soldering is required. Gears with a shaft size of 3.1mm are free spinning and those with 2.9mm shaft size are fixed to the supplied shafts. The gear ratio output can be changed by adding or removing gears from the motor gearbox.
