The Beechcraft C-12 Huron is a modern American transport and passenger aircraft. The prototype flight took place in the early 1970s. The machine was introduced to the service of the US armed forces in 1974 and remains in it today. The drive is provided - in the basic version - by two motors Pratt and Whitney Canada PT6A-42 with 850 HP each . The plane's top speed is 535 km / h, and the maximum range is 3,350 kilometers.
The C-12 Huron was developed as a private initiative of Beechcraft, which used numerous components and elements of its two other planes: Super King Air and 1900. The machine of this type has gained recognition of all types of American armed forces, where it is used as a light machine transport, medical evacuation plane, or passenger plane. In the course of serial production, several versions of this aircraft were created, including: C-12A (transport version for the US Army), TC-12B (training aircraft for the US Navy), C-12J (transport version equipped with GPS and with a higher load capacity used by the USAAF). Outside the United States, C-12 planes are used in Greece, Israel and Pakistan.
