CMP C60 was a Canadian-produced World War II military truck belonging to the class of trucks known in English as the Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) truck. Vehicles of this type were designed in the period 1936-1940, and their serial production lasted in the years 1940-1945. Cars CMP C60s were produced primarily by General Motors Canada and Chevrolet plants. Most often they were powered by engines with a capacity of 3.5 liters and a maximum power of 85 HP. The load capacity of the CMP C60 vehicles was 3 tons. They also had all-wheel drive (4x4). Vehicle design The Canadian Military Pattern was developed in the 1930s and it was assumed from the very beginning that this type of vehicle would be used by the Canadian and British armies, but also by other British Commonwealth forces. Their maximum unification was also assumed from the very beginning. Mass production started on a large scale after the defeat of BEF at Dunkirk in the summer of 1940. It is worth adding that the CMP C60 was produced in several versions, including: C60S (basic version), C60L (version with extended wheelbase) or C60X (six-wheel version with 6x6 drive).
