A&A Models 1/72 Northrop F-15 Reporter Kit AA7233 - Twin Engine Reconnaissance Aircraft - US Air Force
The Northrop F-15 Reporter is a post-World War II reconnaissance aircraft developed from the P-61 Black Widow night fighter.
Entering service in 1946, it was designed to conduct high-altitude photographic reconnaissance missions.
The F-15 Reporter featured a modified airframe with an extended fuselage to accommodate camera equipment and a more streamlined nose for improved aerodynamics.
It was powered by two Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engines, enabling it to achieve high speeds and long-range capabilities.
Despite its advanced design, the F-15 Reporter had a limited production run and was eventually phased out in favour of jet-powered reconnaissance aircraft.
