The starter boat kits are a great introduction to model boat and ship building.
Designed for speed to get the catch back to port before the days of refrigeration the Nova Scotia fishing schooners were also superb sea-going racing yachts. Bluenose was a noted racing schooner of the 1920s and 30s, commemorated with a replica built in 1963 and rebuilt 2010-13.
