Schottel drives are particularly suitable for tugs, but also for many other manoeuvring activities of ships. The direct steering of the propeller creates an extremely high manoeuvrability of the ship. This can also be shown in the model.

The new Krick strip drives are characterized by high mileage, great versatility and small size inside the ship's hull. For example, the arrangement of the motor shaft and steering servo linkage can be adjusted 90° or 180° depending on the space in the model hull. Each Schottel drive is supplied with one left and a right-hand scoop.
