Speed adjustment potInstructions
Plug the sound unit in to you throttle channel of your receiver and plug your speed controller into the socket lead on the unit. Now wire up a loudspeaker of your choice to the terminal block provided, which must be no lower than 8 Ohms.
Set-up
Setting up is straight forward, with your receiver turn off and your transmitter on, hold the setup button down switch on your receiver while still holding the button down, you will hear a beep from the loudspeaker, as soon as this happens let go of the button.
The unit will now go thorough all of the 5 different cylinder combinations, when it plays the one you like push and hold the button once more while it is still playing the sound you like and a second beep will sound to tell you that it has lock that sound. When you’ve finished setting the number of cylinders you may find the top RPM is not to your liking, this can be adjusted by turning the speed Adj pot on the board (see drawing below.)
The sound effect can be changed at anytime by carrying out the above once more.
In Use
When you first switch on the your radio the sound generator will not make a sound until you move the throttle stick, the L.E.D will flash until you have move the stick.
Once you have moved the stick the L.E.D will come on when ever the throttle stick is at neutral, if the L.E.D does not come on at neutral you will have to move your trim on your throttle channel and may have to make adjustments your speed controller to reset its neutral. If you are using a computerise radio transmitter make sure the sub trims are at zero and the end points are at 100%.
If you find that you speed control malfunctions when operating the sound generator, it could be that the B.E.C in the speed controller is not powerful enough to power the sound unit. So you may have to use a separate battery for the receiver. The other thing you could try is using a “Y” lead and run the speed controller off one end and the sound unit on the other, this sometime helps the situation
Please note the unit is not waterproof, so you must protect it. Don’t wire two sound generators into one loud speaker, as that will damage one or both units
