This vintage H-251 Bristol Beaufighter Mk IF is a large 1\/32 injection-moulded plastic kit from the classic Revell tooling first released in the early 1970s. The kit represents the two-seat night-fighter version and includes detailed twin Bristol Hercules radial engines with removable cowlings, cockpit and crew figures, navigator's station, landing gear, rotating propellers and wheels, radar aerials and other external details, plus instructions and decals. The finished model has a wingspan of approximately 21 3\/4 inches and a length of approximately 15 1\/2 inches. The real Bristol Beaufighter was developed from the Beaufort bomber and first flew in July 1939. The Mk IF entered RAF service in 1940 as a long-range night fighter and became one of Britain's most important radar-equipped night fighters during the Battle of Britain and the Blitz. Its heavy armament of four 20 mm cannon and wing-mounted machine guns, combined with airborne interception radar, made it highly effective against German night bombers. More than 5,500 Beaufighters were ultimately built in Britain, with further production in Australia. This early H-251 boxing is increasingly collectible, particularly with its original artwork and complete contents.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Revell","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57559799890300,"sku":"Revell-H-251","price":71.99,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0432\/8584\/0033\/files\/A6E4E3F9-8085-4899-A6D9-CE8D296740C0.jpg?v=1791138443","url":"https:\/\/sussex-model-centre.co.uk\/products\/revell-bristol-beaufighter-mk-if-night-fighter-1-32-plastic-model-kit-vintage","provider":"Sussex Model Centre","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
